Early in her career, Pamela wrote a weekly bylined column as a community correspondent for The Baltimore Sun beginning in 2000. Entitled Neighbors, Pamela's column featured her profiles and human-interest stories pertaining to East Columbia, Maryland, which she published for more than a year before she began writing a West Columbia Neighbors column as well. She also wrote a third column of book-club profiles, was a regularly writer for the paper's Student Achiever articles, and wrote a feature for the Home section. In addition to the Baltimore Sun, Pamela has written profiles, interviews, and think pieces for Poets & Writers Magazine, Harvard University's Transition, the NAACP's Crisis Magazine and other publications.
